Dastkar Andhra welcomes 2013 and celebrates 13 years of Andhra cotton handlooms in Pune with a never before 13% off on DAMA yardage, dupattas and sarees. dāram accompanies with a range of new hand block prints in natural dyes and 3 new styles for women and a wider range in menswear.

Dastkar Andhra Marketing Association, DAMA, offers a classic range of fabrics, dupattas and sarees in vibrant hues, stripes and checks, plains with zari and thread borders, fabrics in natural dyes and with new kalamkari prints. This will be DAMA’s 13th year of exhibitions in Pune where handlooms, especially the natural dyed and khadi varieties, have always been appreciated. On completing 13 years in Pune, DAMA is offering 13% discount on its product range of yardages, dupattas and sarees to its loyal handloom customer base.

dāram, Hyderabad’s exclusive cotton handloom garment store and a sister concern of Dastkar Andhra, has steadily found its place in Pune. Based on its experience in Pune, dāram has put together a collection of new hand-block printed garments in natural dyes. These prints are done on famed Andhra khadi. Natural dyed, hand block printed in Ajrakh, Dabu & Bagru techniques on khadi and tailored into well finished garments. This collection is a collaboration of best hand processes of India. Also available is a wider range of menswear in wovens and hand block prints. Further all the garments are pre-shrunk and guarantee the handloom comfort.

Sankranthi Mela at dāram
















Sankaranti Mela at dāram –
celebrating tradition & innovation in crafts from Andhra Pradesh & Rajasthan.
This January dāram welcomes Spring with complementing handlooms & crafts from Andhra and Rajasthan.  Cotton handlooms & organic millet snacks from Andhra compliment printed silks embroidered accessories, thread &bead jewellery, handmade leather footwear, and eco friendly elephant dung products from Rajasthan. From Delhi we have creative & innovative merchandise from recycled materials. An initiative of Dastkar Andhra, dāram brings select artisans and their craft together to Hyderabad from 10th-13th January 2013.

Dastkar Andhra Marketing Association (DAMA) will showcase its wide range of Andhra Cotton Handloom Sarees, yardages and dupattas. These products will be available in Mangalgiri, Natural Dyed Khadi, Kalamkari with upto 25% off on sarees, dupattas & yardage.  Chaubundi from Rajasthan will display their rich textured silk saris & dress sets. Complementing the handlooms will be bright colourful beads & thread jewellery and footwear from Rajasthan. The jewellery will be presented by artisan Kailash Patua who comes from the traditional Patua community of Rajasthan which specialized in making thread cords and has now extended their skills to jewellery making. The footwear by Rajasthani artisan Radheshyam Naagar is also made using traditional skills but with modern designs and vibrant colours.

Accompanying these traditional products will be Dastkar Ranthambore home products & acessories made by women from the resettled communities of Sawai Madhopur region of Rajasthan; from the stables of Rajasthan elephant poo products produced by Haati Chaap and creative, innovative & unique recycled products from
Karam Marg , a Delhi based NGO working with disadvantaged children.
Earth 360 eco ventures will offer a range of traditional snacks of Andhra made from organic millets from Ananthapur to complete the Mela. Host of offerings for Sankaranti to bring in the new and have a happy, colourful outing with family and friends.
